CFPB Creates Direct Access for Association, CUNA
The CFPB recently announced a newly-created Office of Financial Institutions and Business Liaison (OFIBL), which will connect the CFPB with trade associations, financial institutions, and businesses. In the OFIBL, Dan Smith will serve as the first Assistant Director. This new office will provide CUNA, the Association and credit unions another avenue to communicate their concerns with the CFPB. In addition, the CFPB also announced that Catherine Galicia will serve as the new Assistant Director for Legislative Affairs, Lisa Konwinski will now serve as its Deputy Associate Director for External Affairs, and Hubert “Skip” Humphrey will transition to Senior Liaison Officer.
